EverDye

Revolutionising textile dyeing with low-energy, biobased pigments for a greener, safer, and circular process.
Everdye transforms the dyeing stage in the textile and fashion industry, one of the most polluting sectors globally, by using low-heat, low-energy, biobased pigments and sustainable dyeing methods.

The challenge they want to solve
The fashion and textile industry contributes to nearly 10% of global greenhouse gas emissions, with more than half arising from dyeing processes, and are responsible for 20% of industrial water pollution. Traditional dyeing exposes workers to toxic chemicals and involves physically arduous work. The sector also lacks circularity, generating significant waste and environmental degradation. EverDye addresses these systemic issues by offering a cleaner, safer, and circular dyeing solution.
The impact they have
Everdye delivers both environmental and social benefits. Environmentally, it reduces CO₂ emissions, water usage, and chemical consumption, preserves biodiversity, enables zero-waste dyeing, and promotes circularity through recyclable and reusable pigments. Socially, it limits workers’ exposure to toxic substances and reduces the physical strain of traditional dyeing, improving health and working conditions. The solution also offers a scalable, low-cost method that can be implemented across the fashion value chain, redefining sustainability standards.
The way we measure it
Everdye significantly reduces water usage by lowering the litres of water consumed per ton of textile dyed, scaled across annual production volumes. Energy consumption is also minimised, with fewer kWh used per tonne of textile, aggregated over yearly output. Worker safety is improved by eliminating exposure to toxic chemicals in dyeing houses. Industrial validation has been successfully achieved, with scale-up from laboratory tests of 1 ml to industrial batches of 150L, including pilot programmes with international brands that demonstrate both feasibility and performance.
